[It wasn't completely true -- Loki was easy enough to offend as any other prideful Norse deity. It was merely the fact that he kept such things under the surface, the incident to be filed away and to be used for fuel later, depending upon the circumstance.]

He appears very sincere in all that he does. It is no wonder you're attached to him.
