[Amelia's home, pacing back and forth. She had called Madigan over and well... she looks upset. And understandably so. It had been a while since she had seen either Thor or Loki and if her tracking spell was correct (and it took a hell of a long time to make sure it was right; she was dealing with the Trickster God after all), Loki was on earth-- but she was also following news and... WELP there was that incident in Germany that finally clinched it.
Amelia throws her hands up in the air in exasperation and some green magic seems to spark around her to match her mood.]
What the HELL does he think he's doing!?
[She mad.]

[His arm around her shoulders tightens slightly. What he wants to do is stay in this secluded corner of the ship with Madigan and forget about everything else for a while.
But that would be the same as hiding, and he can't do that.]
We should probably move closer to the detention area. Just in case.
[He doesn't intend to spy on Amelia and Loki, but if something goes wrong... Well, he'd prefer to be closer.]

But one thing before we head that way-- [ since they're still in an empty area of the ship, she pulls him close for another kiss ]

He pulls Madigan close, kissing her a little desperately. It feels like everything is falling apart, and he wants to hold on to everything he's found here on Earth.]

She tugs him towards a corner. ]
Can I... tell you something?

[He assumes by the direction she's heading, she's looking for more privacy, and that's something he can agree with.
There's a door nearby. It's locked, but it opens easily enough when Thor twists the handle harder. It's just a small, empty office, but it's a perfect spot for them to hide for a few minutes.
He leads Madigan inside and closes the door behind them.]

her expression quickly shifts, however. She doesn't exactly know how to say what she wants to say- this is something she's never had cause to say before. She's out of her depth, and she looks it. ]
I care about you, a lot. A lot a lot. [ Oh yes, very eloquent, Madigan. She frowns, and tries again ] I just... I don't know. I feel like you should know how important to me you've become.
[ NOPE not much better. She looks away, her face beginning to rival Thor's cape in color. ]

He puts one hand to her face and leans in, giving her a quick kiss.]
I care for you too, Madigan. Very much. Earth has become as much my home as Asgard, and that is in no small part due to you.
[He tilts her head up to his and gives her a more lingering kiss.]
no subject
She threads her fingers through his hair, and draws that kiss out. ]

I do not know what will happen if I return to Asgard with Loki. After what he has done... There is a chance the Allfather will decide that we should withdraw from Midgard completely, as we once did.
[It would break his heart to leave Earth behind, to leave her behind. There's a soft sigh before he speaks again.]
If things were different... If I were free to do as I pleased, I would court you properly, Madigan. If I could, I would declare my love for you before everyone, so that all the Nine Realms would know of it.
no subject
Do you really mean that? [ Perhaps not the best thing to win the battle, but she's long since given up eloquence at this point ]
no subject
I would not have said it if I did not mean it.
I do not want us to be parted, but if for some reason I cannot come back, I want you to know how much I care for you.
no subject
[ Probably the only person she'll ever feel like this about. ] I just... thank you. For everything.

Their time is running out, but they can stay hidden for a little bit longer.]

So she makes this kiss count. She loves him, though she can't quite bring herself to say it, as stupid as that may be considering there is a distinct possibility they may never see each other again. Ninety years of not even letting herself think that word is a tough barrier to break. Instead, she tries to pour all of that into this kiss as she pulls him closer. ]
no subject
Eventually though he has to pull away.]
We should go...

[ She takes his hand, lacing their fingers together. She gives him a small smile. ] So no one sees you walking around with your arm around nothing.
no subject
That would look rather strange.
[He reluctantly opens the office door and heads back into the hallway.]
