[Advanced Placement tests are just around the corner and that means Amelia has to come home a little later than usual due to holding review sessions at school. It was one of the few times in her life where she felt like getting a migraine from having to go over lines from Paradise Lost or the symbols and language of Moby Dick, or the extensive relationship between the characters in Wuthering Heights.

Just ENOUGH already! She wanted to go home and rest peacefully as usual! But when walking up to her door and about to turn the knob, it hits her that going home isn't 'the usual' anymore.

For the first time in a long while she knows someone is waiting for her.

Not letting her tired and irate mood get to her, she enters.]

I'm home!

I'm... [A beat]

I'm okay.

Just hungry.

[spellbent]

I mean are you okay with us? With where we are?

[recluserose]

[Blinks] Of course I am.

[spellbent]

[ He gives her a long look. ]

You're sure.

[recluserose]

[She gives a light pat on the shoulder]

I'm very sure. It's just been a while since I lived with anyone else.

[spellbent]

Have you ever lived with someone you were... in a relationship with before?

[recluserose]

[She has to think about that question for a moment. Briar was.. a special case, but it was definitely different. With Micheal, she was in the college dorms so...

Quite pointedly, she answers: ]

Never.

[spellbent]

Well, that answers some questions at least.

[recluserose]

Does it now?

[spellbent]

Yes, it does.

[recluserose]

I'm going to eat now. [Sob, she's been caught, but yes finally going to go eat her meal and try not to pore over this too much lies.]

[spellbent]

[ This is... something they need to discuss, but he knows right now isn't the time. So he'll just got back to the couch and his book. ]

[recluserose]

[The next few hours pass uneventfully and the sky outside darkens. It's an unusually warm night (that's California weather for you) so some of the windows are open-- the house has Amelia's magic defenses and there hadn't been any incidents so she could afford to let the night air flow through the place.

She's just about finished doing some school work and other more magical related business (another object that needs a curse lifted, the werewolf group stirring some trouble please answer this letter ASAP- stuff like that). Amelia peeks out from the hallway to ask her housemate]

Are you heading in anytime soon? It's getting rather late.

[spellbent]

Maybe in a bit. I did take a nap earlier.

... Can I talk to you for a moment?

[recluserose]

Ah? Sure. What about? [She walks over to him, curious]

[spellbent]

About our current living arrangement.

... Actually about our current sleeping arrangement.

[recluserose]

[recluserose]

Y... es?

[spellbent]

I'm not going to ask you to do something you don't want to do, Amelia. I just... I guess I just want to let you know where I stand on this.

I'm not your house guest. I'm here because I want to be with you.

[recluserose]

[It takes her a while to answer because she's trying to keep her expression as natural as possible.]

I understand where you're coming from.

I've... just been giving myself time to think.

[spellbent]

Care to share those thoughts?

[recluserose]

[Something like this shouldn't be terrifying, but it is in a twisted way mostly because she's not sure WHAT she's terrified of.]

I've just been uncertain with myself. It's not you at all.

... I just need to rest now.

[spellbent]

All right, all right. I've said my piece.

Have a good night.

[recluserose]

Right.

[She runs a hand through her hair and lightly exhaling as she walks back into her own bedroom. Since Warren had taken up residence, she changed things around in her room as if reflecting the small changes she had to undergo. For one, there's no glowing rose in sight and all in all, it's actually neater not so cluttered with books. But it wasn't enough.

As she prepares for bed she stops to think.

Really, really, REALLY think.

The witch doesn't fall asleep right away. For some reason she doesn't feel tired and instead keeps her door slightly ajar and her ear open for him.]

[spellbent]

[ Warren doesn't take too long before heading for bed. He's a bit frustrated, truth be told, but he truly doesn't want to force her into anything.

He knows she has a lot of things to work through- they both do- but he's given up so much for her already. He just wishes they could move forward.

It doesn't take him long to get ready for bed, and he flops down with a sigh. ]
