[Advanced Placement tests are just around the corner and that means Amelia has to come home a little later than usual due to holding review sessions at school. It was one of the few times in her life where she felt like getting a migraine from having to go over lines from Paradise Lost or the symbols and language of Moby Dick, or the extensive relationship between the characters in Wuthering Heights.

Just ENOUGH already! She wanted to go home and rest peacefully as usual! But when walking up to her door and about to turn the knob, it hits her that going home isn't 'the usual' anymore.

For the first time in a long while she knows someone is waiting for her.

Not letting her tired and irate mood get to her, she enters.]

I'm home!

Ah, yes. I've... snapped at them a couple times. [ still has this... temper problem ]

Hm. That could be a problem in the later future. And I would prefer to stay on their good side.

[spellbent]

[She gives him a small smile and leans her head against his chest with her hands on her arms]

It's alright. Thank you for apologizing though.

[ He slips his arms around her, resting his chin on the top of her head ]

I don't want to ruin anything for you.

[So... loving...]

[spellbent]

[ He holds her a bit tighter, planting a kiss on the top of her head ]

You are an endless well of patience, Amelia.

[recluserose]

It's a constant practice.

[It feels... good being held, being affectionate, being close... close...

She lets go of him letting out a sigh.]

I think I'll have some of the dinner you made.

[spellbent]

Help yourself. [ he waves a hand at the table ] I hope you don't mind that I've already eaten.

Not at all. [She goes to take her meal, but first...]

[spellbent]

Yes?

[recluserose]

[There's a pause, but she stands up a bit straighter to place a kiss on his lips. It's not urgent, but rather slow and lingering. She pulls away with a somewhat inscrutable smile.]

Thank you for being here for me.

[spellbent]

... Any time. [ he leans in for another kiss, this one lingering as well ]

[She returns it quite willingly, but doesn't let it draw out for long since she... don't get carried away, not yet-- but if not now WHEN? Later? When's later

I might turn in early for tonight. You know, I had a busy day and all.

[spellbent]

[ He quirks a brow ]

All right.

[ a beat ] Are you okay?

[recluserose]

I'm... [A beat]

I'm okay.

Just hungry.

[spellbent]

I mean are you okay with us? With where we are?

[recluserose]

[Blinks] Of course I am.

[spellbent]

[ He gives her a long look. ]

You're sure.

[recluserose]

[She gives a light pat on the shoulder]

I'm very sure. It's just been a while since I lived with anyone else.

[spellbent]

Have you ever lived with someone you were... in a relationship with before?

[recluserose]

[She has to think about that question for a moment. Briar was.. a special case, but it was definitely different. With Micheal, she was in the college dorms so...

Quite pointedly, she answers: ]
